What a fantastic Charity Golf Day we had …
Although it was very hot … 32+degrees everyone enjoyed a great day of golf and helped to raise a brilliant £3662.
A big thank you goes to all the local businesses who put teams in, and the golfers who took part in the Raffle, Beat Brian, and Nearest the pin !

Here’s to next years’ event – we will definitely be running one so keep your eyes and ears open for the next date !
Our very grateful thanks to all the businesses that sponsored the event :

A massive thank you to everyone who ran, walked, sponsored, and cheered the teams on at the Royal Sutton Fun Run a few weeks ago.
The latest total is just in, and we are so excited to share it with you
At last count you all raised an incredible £13181.91 which is a record for us at The Cancer Support Centre, and there is still a little more coming in.
This will cover our costs for a total of 3.5 weeks, or to put it another way, it will pay for an incredible 36 clients to receive a full Therapeutic Treatment program.
Thank you so much for all your efforts ❤
We will share the individual teams thank you’s as their totals are confirmed, but there is still time to add to some of the totals if you wish to……
A massive THANK YOU to Andrew Perks from Inktree for raising an amazing
£4235 in the Royal Sutton Fun Run.
Andy says, ‘ I am truly blown away by this amount. Getting sponsors is getting harder and harder each year, and this year was the most difficult. A really big thank you to all the businesses and individuals that sponsored me.
As a volunteer & ambassador for The Cancer Support Centre Sutton Coldfield, I’ve witnessed first hand the difference support, provided by the wonderful team, makes to the lives of those living with cancer. As a small organisation, they need to raise substantial sums of money each year to continue to offer this specialist and invaluable complimentary cancer care.’
Andy you are an inspiration to so many people, and your support is always amazing !
A heartfelt thank you to the amazing team at RotoSpawho raised an incredible £2,078 for us by taking part in the Fun Run.
Not only did they complete the course – they did it whilst pushing a hot tub! Now that’s dedication!
Thank you, RotoSpa, we are very grateful for your ongoing support.
A super big THANK YOU to Ethan, his family and supporters
Ethan is 13 years old and says, “I was given a school project to ‘make a change’ so wanted to raise some money for a local cause by doing something challenging so here we go!!
I will climb Snowdon on the 24th May then complete the 8.5mile Sutton Fun Run on 1st June.
Well, Ethan well and truly smashed his target of £100, and kept going, raising a fantastic £ £891.11 !!!
Ethan you are a inspiration and we are so proud of you ❤ Thank you ❤
A big THANK YOU to Matthew and all his supporters …
Matthew said on his fundraising page, I’ve entered the Royal Sutton Fun Run and will be raising funds for the Sutton Cancer Support Centre, which needs all the help it can get these days. My wife Judy has had cancer twice now, and the brilliant support the Centre has given, and is still giving, has been invaluable. The friendships she has made, and the activities they do there have helped her through the dark times and are still helping now that things are looking better. I’d really appreciate any support you can give.’
Matthew raised a fantastic £629.87 by taking part in the Fun Run this year, all of which will go towards providing support for his lovely wife Judy, and all the other clients.
Thank you for your amazing support Matthew ❤ and your lovely words about what we do. Thank you.
A big thank you to everyone who came along for the Night of Fun. We had an amazing night, in spite of the high temperatures that night !

He took on the Manchester Marathon on 27th April to raise funds for us —
He raised a fantastic £625 through his run
Then the donation made in memory of Rob to our Matching Crowdfunder raised an additional £1375
Thank you, Jason, and all your supporters who donated a fantastic total of £1981.25 in memory of their dear friend Rob !
If you’re planning to take part in any event — whether in the Fun Run or anything else — we’d love to hear from you!
We Did It – Thank You! In March, we asked you to support our matched giving crowd funder and we are so very pleased to let you know that we exceeded our target! With your amazing help we raised a fantastic £8546 (inc Gift Aid and after fee charges)! That will help us offset the costs of fund raising this year.
This means that ALL the funds raised at our events will now go directly to providing support for our clients.
We are very grateful to every single person who donated, thank you. Your generosity helps us continue to support people that have been affected by cancer. We have to raise £3400 every week this year to continue to provide our support for our clients, and this really helps.
A very big thank you also to the Mortgage Advice Bureau Foundation for their generous matched funding, turning every £1 donated into £4!
Thank you so much 💙

To continue their support of us, Mike Kirby has made an incredible offer to all of you, so you can help them, to support us !
If you are looking for a car – new or old – get in touch with them quoting CancerSupport10 and you will not only save 10% on their fee, but also generate a donation to us on completion of the purchase.
Big thanks go to all the other sponsors who helped cover the costs of the event by supporting the costs of the welcome drink and costs of the event by sponsoring tables.
Raising funds from any event is challenging due to all the costs involved, so the support of a local business like these, makes a real difference. Enabling funds raised on the night to go direct to the charity and supporting our clients ! See video here

Big Thanks must go to Chase Farm who donated potatoes, and local shops for the other food for us to use in our lunches.
Open Gardens
Thank you to Chris & Simon & Margaret and their family and friends for opening their gardens on Dower Road to raise funds last Sunday. The sun came out, the plants, the cakes and refreshments were laid out and to top it all £1572 was raised
Ray Woodford and his group raise funds for us every year through a Badminton Tournament they organise and play in Milton Keynes.
There were some great games throughout the day with a record number of 21-20 matches being played which showed the small margins between winning & losing and picking up trophies.
Total raised was £570 which was matched by SGS United Kingdom Limited making at total of £1140.
Thank you so much to Simon Grounds and to Sutton Spinderella’s Charity Cycle team. They cycled the equivalent of Lands End to John O’Groats in a weekend! Raising a fantastic £1502 for us!
Some of the members of the gym have used the Centre in the past and undertook this challenge as a way of saying thank you.
Big thank you goes to Howkins & Harrison LLP estate agents who were a huge encouragement and contributed a massive £300 plus Gift Aid to the total raised.
Thank you also to Bannatyne Health Club & Spa Sutton Coldfield for providing the venue and the 3 static bikes.
Massive thanks to the Sutton Spinderella’s Charity Cycle team and to everyone that supported them to smash their target!
HCB Update
Thank you to everyone that visited us at the Lichfield Festival on Saturday and bought cakes, plants, bric a brac, vintage china and tombola tickets.
We were delighted to raise £1000!
A massive thank you to HCB Solicitors who let us use their garden again and provided us with a delicious lunch! Huge thanks also to our trustee Dorothy and our service manager Deirdre who organised the event, to everyone that helped on the day and to Michael Fabricant MP who popped in to see us!
