Bra Fitting with Community Breast Care

We offer a specialist Bra fitting service here at the Centre for ladies who have undergone a lumpectomy or mastectomy. 

🌟 Appointments are available 2 Friday mornings a month.

✨✨ Our amazing expert, Alison, leads the bra fitting service, which is generously funded by Breast Friends Sutton Coldfield and Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer. With 17 years of qualified bra fitting experience and 5 years of Prosthesis fitting knowledge, Alison is the expert for your post-surgery bras.

💖 Alison’s passion for helping breast cancer patients has made a huge difference to our clients. A properly fitted specialist post-surgery bra is absolutely crucial, as an ill-fitting bra can affect the size, weight, and shape of your Prosthesis.

Not Just Holidays

I met with Louise last Friday to run through requirements for a holiday next February. Even though we knew which hotel we wanted, she took all the details and presented us with a proposed holiday and itinerary the next Tuesday. By the end of the day, it had been booked and deposit paid.  She made it very simple and was really friendly and professional. The additional bonus is that there will be a donation made to the Cancer Support Centre as my charity.  Louise is highly recommended.

Travel Insurance

Getting Travel Insurance when you have a diagnosis, or have had one, can mean that getting travel insurance at a reasonable cost can be very challenging.  Our clients have shared two online companies who have really helped them out, so we are sharing them here.  Talk to them and see if they can give you a good price.   

We have four tips for you :

1. Ensure that you give them ALL the details because if you don’t, and something happens, it can void the insurance policy totally.
2. Check the limits and amounts put on any insurance and read the small print.
3. Increasing the excess can sometimes reduce the cost, but be sure that you are happy and able to cover that cost should you need to.
4. If you are travelling with others include them on the same policy then, if any of you have to cancel for any reason, they are included

Insurance

If you struggle with insurance due to health challenges……

We are getting a lot of questions asking for recommendations for travel insurance when you have a medical condition, or are still under treatment for cancer, and we are recommending GOMM Insurance. They have looked after our clients very well recently, ensuring that they were adequately covered despite having medical conditions.

Chris Gomm at Gomm Insurance has committed to supporting you when getting insurance – especially for holidays – is difficult.  He has accepted the challenge to ensure that when your insurance cost is really high, he will do his best to ensure that you can achieve acceptable insurance for a reasonable cost, using his panel of leading travel insurers.

Chris Gomm said ‘We have spoken to a couple of folk this week who said – ‘we can get that cheaper on the internet’, and when we looked and compared them, the client was not actually covered for medical expenses for the conditions they had !  The beauty of speaking to someone like the team at GOMM, is that we can ensure that all medical issues are covered to the best level, and get a good balance between being adequately covered and the cost’
