Corporate Support

Are you directly involved with charitable support at your place of work, if so we would love to talk to you. Perhaps you can offer us a contact or an introduction if you know who is responsible, either in a specific role or via your HR department?

Partnering with a charity like The Cancer Support Centre is a great way for a business to fulfil its corporate social responsibility (CSR) and help our worthy cause. By supporting our charity, your business will be better perceived as an organisation that cares.

Existing employees will be proud to work for a business that does charitable work and potential future employees will see the business as a credible, positive place to work.

Ideal for businesses of all sizes, supporting and being involved in a local charity such as ours means that a business becomes part of the local community too, with the potential to receive press coverage for our shared activities and the good work done by both the company and the Cancer Support Centre!

Ultimately, any business which supports us will stand out from their competitors. Not only will your business be seen as compassionate and one which cares about the welfare of their staff, but as an organisation who considers the wellbeing of local residents and the surrounding community. Best of all, you and your staff will know you are making a real difference to someone affected by cancer.

Become a Corporate Supporter

Ideas and ways for local businesses to support The Cancer Support Centre might include:

Charity of the year

Why not nominate The Cancer Support Centre to be your chosen charity for the forthcoming year?

Host or sponsor an event

Choosing to host or sponsor a charitable event is a great way to show your customers and suppliers, and indeed the local community that you support The Cancer Support Centre.

Make a regular donation

Knowing that we have regular ‘incoming’ funds is vital to the continual running of The Cancer Support Centre. One of the simplest and most convenient ways to support us is by committing to a weekly, monthly or annual donation. Sponsoring a specific service or a therapy space is a fantastic way of offering visible support.

Donate goods or services

Like all businesses, we need many items including computers, stationary, consumables and support services. Could you donate what you supply or provide at cost? Perhaps you could donate a staff member’s time to support us with a business skill or to help us to develop?

Your business is sure to have a diverse skillset, well placed facilities, and a vast collective knowledge.

Perhaps you could allow us access to your meeting space, training facilities and courses?

Could your staff offer advice to the board or trustee members?

Maybe you could encourage your employees to volunteer to support our operations, corporate governance, front line services or events?

Assistance with promotional publicity

Could you utilise your networks and capabilities to raise our profile?

From printed literature and tickets for events, to local press coverage and social media mentions, the more publicity and exposure we can achieve can only benefit The Cancer Support Centre and our clients.

Perhaps your business would consider sponsoring our ‘Wellbeing monthly theme’ with promotional products and samples?

Maybe your company could sponsor any one of our promotional items, which include T-shirts for our volunteers, lanyards and badges, mugs and pens, and even a gazebo!

Developing our future partnership

We would be very pleased to work with you to identify ways in which we can improve and develop our partnership.

Cancer touches one in two people in their lifetime, so we’re certain that you will have employees, friends and family that will need our support at some point in the future, and hopefully, with your support, we can find new ways to ensure that they receive help as soon as they need it.

Become a Corporate Sponsor

A little more formal than Corporate Supporter and we ask for a commitment of 2 – 3 years support, and higher level of donation or fundraising on behalf of the charity.

The company has committed to providing significant backing for our calendar of events, including the highly anticipated Quiz Night and the upcoming Golf Day at Walmley Golf Club in July. We’ve been nominated for an “Excellence in Contribution to Community” in the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce’s SLTC awards! 🎉

This award recognises organisations that go above and beyond to make a positive, proactive difference in their community – so this is great news!

“It is amazing that we have been shortlisted for this award. We have been supporting adults affected by cancer in Royal Sutton Coldfield and wider Birmingham for almost 25 years and been able to directly support up to 500 people each year. Over the past 4 years, being able to work alongside some of the amazing local businesses has been fantastic. The benefit works both ways and we have been able to build some really meaningful corporate relationships to help with their and our CSR.”

Jackie Price, Centre Manager

We will find out if we’ve won in February.

A huge thank you to all our supporters and volunteers – we couldn’t do it without you 💙
