February Nutrition Workshop – Busting food myths for cancer

Cut through the confusion around food and cancer. Come and join Registered Nutritionist Meg Butler (ANutr) for this nutrition workshop, tackling common myths and misinformation, separating fact from fiction using evidence-based guidance. Learn the truth about nutrition and cancer, and leave with practical, realistic information you can trust.

This month, Nutritionist Meg Butler will explore stress free portion sizes – without counting or weighing. Meg will teach you how to recognise appropriate portions, tune into hunger and fullness cues, and build balanced meals that actually satisfy – so you can eat with confidence and flexibility.

📍 Location: Cancer Support Centre, Sutton Coldfield

💰 Cost: No charge, but donations are very welcome to support our services, our card machine will be available! 😉

No need to book, just turn up.

The June workshop will be on Thursday 18th June and will cover understanding food labels and navigating the supermarket.

Join Will from quietnote to experience a mindfulness through music session. 

This workshop will see participants working with mindfulness, calming music and meditations guided using live music. 

A perfect way to understand mindfulness, relaxation and practical tips to help with your health journey.

Date: Running at 2pm every 1st Monday of the month (except 13th April and 11th May due to bank holidays)
Time: 2.00pm – 3.00pm
Cost: Free, but a donation of £5 would be appreciated.

Please wear comfortable clothing.

We are running a short series of bereavement workshops, for our registered clients, in partnership with Cruse. 

The workshops will explore some of the challenges that come along when you lose a loved one to cancer.

Dates : Wednesday March 18th , 25th ,  April 1st (NO Meeting 8th April) 15th ,  22nd   ,  29th

This will be a small group, places are limited to 6.

After the brilliant session last year which helped a number of clients, we have invited them back !!

Irwin Mitchell solicitors are offering an in-person drop-in session for anyone affected by cancer, offering advice on your legal rights and what to do if you feel something hasn’t gone as it should.

They will outline the complaints process, and provide guidance on potential medical negligence concerns, giving you the clarity and confidence you need to decide if you want to pursue a complaint or claim.

The session will be hosted by: Jenna Harris, Partner and Christopher Hurlston, Senior associate solicitor.
